Kevin Bentley is the president and a founding member of Cognitics, Inc. He has has over 18 years of software development experience. At Cognitics he is responsible for business development and is part of the software architecture team for internal and external projects.

Additionally he is a software architect for the Army SE Core DVED project, providing software architecture, development, and support services for the Master Database (MDB) and Runtime Database Generation Toolset (RDGT) for the project. Previously, he worked for TERREX, where in addition to R&D work for an Army SE Core BAA, he did software development for Terra Vista and the Common Database (CDB) format for SOCOM. He has extensive geospatial and GIS experience, covering areas such as high precision differential GPS, commercial and open source GIS tools and APIs. Mr. Bentley has also worked in the 3D video game industry, where he developed software for the game Descent 3 and was the project manager and a developer for the 3D level editor that shipped with the game. Mr. Bentley has extensive experience developing software on multiple platforms in C/C++, C#, Java, and other languages.
